    FAQ

    (Frequently Asked Questions)

    • A members-based pop-up speakeasy built around exceptional non-alcoholic beverages. We host tastings, social mixers, guided experiences, and educational events — and share details with members. We don't advertise events publicly. You're either on the list or you're not. (Getting on the list is free and takes 30 seconds. Getting off the list is even easier).

    • Correct. We find the irony delightful. The speakeasy spirit — underground, a little mysterious, worth finding — translates perfectly to what we're doing. Minus the bathtub gin. Plus some genuinely extraordinary non-alc drinks. We think that's an upgrade.

    • Yes. No membership fee, no subscription, no catch. You join, we stay in touch, and you'll hear from us when something's happening. Events may have a ticket price to cover costs, and we'll always be upfront about that — but joining the community costs nothing.

    The Basics

    Joining & Membership

    • Fill out the sign-up form (on the Join page, check the box saying you want to join the community, and confirm your email. That's it. No application. No approval process. No secret handshake. (We're working on the handshake.)

    • Be sure to check your email inbox (or maybe the spam/junk box), then confirm your email. After that, you'll hear from us when something's coming — event details, ticket info, and whatever else is worth knowing. You can also opt into SMS updates if you want to be the very first to find out.

    • By email, or by text if you prefer. We send event details — date, location, format, ticket info — to members before anyone else. Because there is no "anyone else." We don't make public announcements. That's the whole thing.

    • Not at all. Your inbox, your pace. We'll be here when something catches your eye.

    • Event listings are not promoted to the general public. Only members have access to event details. To join the club (for free) and get access to events:

      1. Sign up for club membership on “Join” page.

      2. Check your email.

      3. Get instant access to the club’s event listings when you click on the button “Confirm your Vivid Sip Club membership”

Keep this “Events” page bookmarked, so you can revisit it in the future. If you need to re-access it, you can do so via the original email.

    • All kinds. Guided tastings with curated lineups and real context for what you're drinking. Casual mixers where the drinks are the point and the conversation follows naturally. Educational sessions that go deep on a category, ingredient, or craft. And occasionally something we're still dreaming up. The format shifts. The quality doesn't.

    • Depends on the event. Some are very affordable; others are priced higher for more involved experiences or featured products. We'll always tell you exactly what something costs before you decide — no surprises, no fine print.

    • Ticket links go to members only, with the event announcement, via email or text. Follow the link to purchase tickets online.

    • Yes — each member can bring one guest per event. Great way to share the experience with someone you think would love it. Also a subtle nudge that they should just get on the list themselves.

    • That's exactly who these events are for. The whole point is discovery — trying things you'd never pick off a shelf, finding out what the category is actually capable of, and realizing that "non-alcoholic" and "interesting" are not the contradiction you were told they were. Come skeptical. We've heard it before. We're not worried.

    • These are “pop-up” style, meaning we inhabit existing venues in the area. Starting out, events will happen once per month. Members receive notifications and details of upcoming events.

    Events

    • Because this category has quietly become extraordinary and most people haven't caught up yet. We're interested in beverages that are craft-driven, intentional, and genuinely delicious — and right now, some of the most exciting things happening in drinks are happening here. Also you can drive home. That's not nothing.

    • Not at all. Our community includes people who are fully sober, sober-curious, taking a break, pregnant, on medication, health-focused, or simply love a well-made drink regardless of what's in it. The common thread isn't abstinence — it's curiosity, a sense of adventure, and a decent palate.

    • Great question — and one worth answering honestly.

In the US, "non-alcoholic" has a technical definition: any beverage containing less than 0.5% ABV (alcohol by volume). "Alcohol-free" typically means exactly that — no detectable alcohol. "Zero-proof" is more of a marketing term with no legal definition, generally used interchangeably with alcohol-free.

Here's the perspective most brands skip: that 0.5% threshold isn't arbitrary or alarming. A ripe banana contains up to 0.5% ABV. Burger buns can hit over 1%. Fermented foods like kimchi and kombucha land in similar territory. Fruit juice sitting in your fridge is actively fermenting right now. Trace alcohol is a natural byproduct of fermentation — the same process that gives many of our favorite drinks their complexity and depth.

Vivid Sip Club offers both non-alcoholic (under 0.5% ABV) and alcohol-free products, and we'll always be upfront about which is which. We think you deserve that clarity — and we think once you have the full picture, you'll see that the world of mindful drinking is a lot more nuanced, and a lot more interesting, than a simple yes/no on alcohol.
